The PGA Tour will be moving north to Canada to the Glen Abbey Golf Course for the 2009 RBC Canadian Open this Thursday and online bookmakers have posted their odds for who will win the event. The event begins at 7am on July 23rd and Bodog’s online sportsbook is one of the options betters have to make their picks.

Retief Goosen and Mike Weir are leading the competition with the best odds for winning the event. The long shot to win the competition is Chez Reavie. He is the defending champion of the Canadian Open and he is ready to defend his title, even though he has been picked as the long shot.

Reavie commented: “I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I’m just so excited….I don’t think a lot of people understand when you’re growing up and you’re practicing and you’re working so hard, this is your goal…But there is no guarantees. It’s not like some other sport. It’s an amazing feeling, it really is.”

Retief Goosen and Mike Weir sit at 16/1 odds and close behind is Anthony Kim and Sean O’Hair are at 18/1 odds. Luke Donald and Camilo Villegas both have 20/1 odds while Scott Verplank sits at 28/1 odds. These are the top picks at Bodog for the 2009 RBC Canadian Open and a complete list of Bodog’s picks can be found at their sports book.
